Renault twin-line wet kits for walking floors: Specs and features
—
Renault Premium DXI and T Range trucks running walking floor trailers need twin-line hydraulic systems that handle continuous bidirectional operation.
Our kit fits Euro 4, 5, and 6 models with I-Shift transmissions, delivering 108 litres per 1000 RPM through a bent-axis piston pump rated to 400 bar maximum pressure.
Products in this guide:
Tank and filtration
Side-mounted aluminium tanks hold 200 litres in a body that spans 38cm across, stands 75cm high, and runs 75cm deep without fixtures added.
Chassis rail mounting positions the weight forward and keeps the fifth wheel area clear for trailer coupling.
Return oil enters through two separate routes: the directional valve mounting plate takes one feed at 1″ BSP female, and the upper rear adapter accepts the other at 1½” BSP male.
Pump suction draws from a lower rear adapter threaded at 2″ BSP male. Internal filters catch particles down to 25 microns before they reach pump components.
Breather strainers built into the filler cap stop airborne dirt from entering during refills. Oil level indicators sit in the tank wall so you can check fluid without removing caps. Brackets, straps, and rubber mounts come as standard fittings.
Pump design
Our kit uses a bent-axis piston pump, which provides 108 litres per 1000 RPM at 350 bar working pressure, handling peaks up to 400 bar during heavy material discharge.
Bidirectional rotation reverses floor movement without changing pump shaft direction. Split flange inlets at 1″ BSP include integrated seals and fixing screws.
Outlets thread at 1″ BSP with hose tails fitted. Pump weight lands at 16kg once installed. Walking floors need higher displacement than tipping circuits because material movement takes longer than a quick body raise.
Pressure regulation
Variable inline relief valves span from 50 bar up to 380 bar, depending on cargo density. Stainless steel construction prevents corrosion, while locking nuts maintain settings despite chassis vibration. Maximum throughput reaches 100 litres per minute.
Inlet and outlet ports manage main hydraulic flow, tank connections handle return routing, and test ports allow pressure checks without line disconnection.

PTO specifications
Pneumatic PTO blocks bolt to the rear of I-Shift gearboxes, engaging through air pressure between 5 and 10 bar. The 1:1 drive ratio runs at engine speed with 245 Nm torque capacity. Quill shafts, adapter plates, gaskets, and all fixing hardware ship with each unit.
Connectors attach to the pneumatic switch at 1/8″ BSP ports. Single-way operation suits walking floors that stay engaged throughout material discharge rather than cycling like tipping bodies.
Gearbox compatibility
Five I-Shift variants work with this system: AT2412C and AT2412D from earlier production runs, AT2512E covering mid-range outputs, plus AT2612D and AT2612E for higher torque applications.
Premium DXI trucks from Euro 4 and 5 standards fit these gearboxes across the model range. Premium T Range vehicles from Euro 6 onwards keep identical transmission mounting despite different engine specifications.
Hydraulic connections
Two rotary swivel couplings at 1″ BSP connect trailer lines at right angles. Ball valves at 2″ BSP female shut off circuits for maintenance. A 2″ BSP to 50mm insert bridges tank outlets to hydraulic fittings.
Reducing adapters from 1½” to 1″ BSP male. T adapters at 1″ BSP split flow between circuits. A 1½” BSP female bush rounds out the fitting selection.
