Two single-line tipping kits cover different truck makes but share nearly identical hydraulic specifications. The differences between them come down to PTO compatibility rather than performance capability, which we’ll go into comparing tipping wet kits below.

Tank specifications
Both kits use 200-litre side-mounted aluminium tanks at 38cm wide by 75cm high. Rear cabin tanks interfere with payload distribution.
Return line routing differs slightly. The Volvo/Renault kit runs one return via a directional valve mounting plate at 1″ BSP, another through the rear tank adapter at 1½” BSP. Port sizing matches hydraulic flow requirements without throttling return oil.
Tank filtration uses 25-micron internal elements with filler cap breather strainers. Oil level indicators and mounting hardware come standard.
When comparing tipping wet kits across our store, you’ll see they don’t include hydraulic hoses, which require separate ordering based on your trailer cylinder connections.
Pump performance
Nine-piston units deliver 85L/1000 RPM at 250 bar working pressure with 350 bar maximum capability. Both run bi-directional rotation with 1¼” BSP inlets and 1″ BSP outlets.
Maximum pump speed holds at 1300 RPM across both applications. The specification ensures reliable operation during typical tipping cycles when the vehicle is stationary with the PTO engaged.
Valve and control systems
Directional valves match on displacement and pressure ratings. Both handle 140L/1000 RPM at 180 bar, working with 230 bar maximum. Port connections stay standard at 1″ BSP throughout the valve circuit.
PTO specifications
PTO blocks share identical 1:1 ratios and 245 Nm torque ratings. Rear mounting and pneumatic control apply to both kits. The ratio suits tipping operations where engagement happens at a standstill rather than on the move.
Gearbox compatibility separates these kits clearly. The Volvo/Renault version fits AT and ATO I-Shift transmissions from 2412C through 3512E variants. These cover Euro 4, 5, and 6 emissions standards across Volvo FH/FM13 and Renault Premium ranges.

Making the selection
Choose based on your truck manufacturer. Installing the wrong PTO block wastes more money than any initial savings. Gearbox compatibility matters more than minor specification variations.
Both kits deliver adequate performance for standard tipping operations. Pump displacement and pressure ratings exceed requirements for most tipper bodies. Tank capacity suits typical work cycles without constant refilling.
