Your truck’s hydraulic system – including its wet kit – relies on fittings and adapters to function efficiently and safely.
Each part plays a vital role, from controlling fluid flow to enabling quick connections and ensuring compatibility between components.
Regular maintenance and use of high-quality hydraulic oil also help keep your system operating at peak performance, reducing downtime and extending the life of your hydraulic equipment.

Valves and flow control
Ball valves in various sizes (DN32, DN40, DN50) allow you to control the flow of hydraulic fluid in your system. They provide a quick way to start or stop fluid flow, ensuring precise control over your hydraulic operations.
Pump adapters
PTO pump adapters enable compatibility between different mounting patterns, such as converting from SAE B to ISO or from 3-bolt to 4-bolt configurations.
These adapters are crucial for installing pumps on various truck models, ensuring a proper fit and optimal hydraulic system performance.
Quick release couplers
These come in sets for 3/4″ and 1″ BSP hydraulic hoses for rapid connection and disconnection of hydraulic lines.
You’ll find the quick-release feature is invaluable when you need to switch between different hydraulic attachments or perform maintenance on your truck’s hydraulic system.
Rotary swivel coupling
Couplings come in various specs, such as a 1″ BSP 90-degree rotary swivel coupling set that allows for the movement and repositioning of hoses without twisting or kinking.
The rotary feature is particularly useful in applications requiring hydraulic lines to accommodate moving parts.
Hydraulic oil barrel
A high-quality hydraulic oil barrel maintains the efficiency and longevity of your truck’s hydraulic system. Available in 205L capacities, the drum provides adequate flow and protects hydraulic components from wear and corrosion.
Specifying the correct fittings and adapters
Your existing truck hydraulics will have components you can use as a reference when purchasing replacement parts. For instance, the PTO pump might use a 95 mm extension adapter bolt, or the ball valve might be 1 ¼” or 1 ½”.
If you’re building a new hydraulics system, we sell complete wet kits, which allow you to add fittings and adapters to suit the kit.
A truck hydraulics system installer can tell you what fittings and adapters you need after an inspection. Note that hydraulics is a specialist area—don’t ask an inexperienced head to specify your fittings and adapters.
What to do with old parts
Spent metal parts, including those with moving parts from wet kits, are fully recyclable. You can recycle them as normal.
Anything containing hydraulic fluid must be disposed of at a waste oil recycling plant, whether it is your local council tip or a contractor with an oil bank.
