Top tips for buying a used truck cabin

Looking for a good-value, good-condition used truck cab? We can help. We have in stock used truck cabs for various makes and models, both modern and old. Below, we have also provided some top tips for buying a used truck cab, to help you shop efficiently:

1. Consider the condition

When it comes to purchasing a used truck cabin, the most important thing to consider is the condition of the cab and how much refurbishment (if any) will be needed.

Since used truck cabs always cost several thousand pounds less than new truck cabs, it is likely that you will save a lot of money buying used, even if the cab requires significant refurbishment. However, there are certain aspects of a cab, such as the metalwork, that may need replacing which may drive the cost of refurbishment up. For this reason, we strongly recommend that you request photographs of any used truck cabs - we are happy to take photographs for you, to make sure that you get what you pay for.

2. Consider the age

It’s important to remember that just because a truck cab matches your make and model of truck, that doesn’t necessarily mean it will fit your truck. The key thing to look for here is that the cab that matches the age of your truck and your exact version.

Conversely, it is also possible to modernise your older truck with a newer truck cab, so long as it is compatible. Whether this is the case depends on the type of truck you have. It is also possible to modify some older truck platforms to fit a newer truck cab. We are, however, unable to offer advice on this so we recommend you consult with an expert.

3. Always look for the best deal
